On February 7, Hippo Ballerina was welcomed to New York City by representatives from NYC Parks, Lincoln Center, and American Ballet Theater. The monumental sculpture will be on exhibit through July at the corner of 64th Street & Broadway.

The colossal bronze, Hippo Ballerina, by Bjørn Okholm Skaarup has landed on Broadway! The sculpture will be on exhibit from Feb. 7 – July 31, 2017, at NYC’s Dante Park at the intersection of 64th Street and Broadway. The installation is part of the NYC Parks’ Art in the Parks program, giving the Hippo Ballerina a pride of place right across from Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Visitors are invited to participate in the #dancewithhippoballerina photo contest for a chance to win a limited edition Hippo Tightrope Dancer etching and tickets to a performance at Lincoln Center!
