BLACK & WHITE EXHIBITION: March 2 - 20, 2012

Cavalier Galleries, Inc. is pleased to present a unique exhibition of works in black and white. Throughout the history of art, this limited palette has been utilized by artists to simplify, focus, or dramatize their compositions. Artwork created in black and white invites viewers to absorb the subjects and compositional elements of line, shape, value, and texture in its most pure form.



This exhibition draws on creations from the last century with works ranging from historic photography to post-war abstraction, to contemporary realism. Included in the exhibition will be a diverse selection of paintings, drawings, and photographs that exemplify the simplicity and strength of artworks created in black and white.
